Outcomes of the Conference

  1. The learnings resulting from our STRATFORD partnership proved to be distinct because of the additional European value.
  2. As the activities of all participating partners included organization of foreign language courses for adults, this project has now been fully integrated into current activities within all of our partner organizations.
  3. The partnership’s greatest and lasting accomplishment is it’s influence in contributing to more efficient and effective activity within our institutions creating greater possibilities of non-conventional, less formal, more engaging and wider-ranging foreign language learning practices and environments, increasing learners’ motivation to use English or Spanish, as well as, raising the competence of our adult educators.
  4. This project provided the opportunity to create a new international educational perspective for adults from our disadvantaged areas through mobility within the European Union.
  5. It also augmented the development of social skills, created multicultural awareness and active citizenship, and increased the level of social inclusion and equal educational opportunities for our adult learners.
  6. This partnership also raised the profile of each of our institutions at both local and national levels.
  7. The project process assisted both the participants and the institutions to develop a better understanding of the life long learning process.
  8. The aims of the STRATFORD partnership have been successfully achieved, beyond our expectations.
  9. The book, our final product, will prove a valuable and practical resource tool for adult educators to utilize in foreign language courses in each participating institution.
  10. The partnership has established a permanent open channel of communication between
    institutions, ensuring an on-going, engaging and project-based language learning environment.
  11. The success of our partnership and mutual support system also helps to establish a connection between municipalities of participating countries, and serves as an initiative for future cooperation in the discipline of adult education and multicultural exchange.
